Veicoli Industriali
(AVI) started in 1985
thanks to an idea of
its founder Mr. Piva
Lino.
Mr.
Piva started his business
in the 1950’s when
he opened a garage for
truck repairs in Rimini.
Since then the company
has been growing steadily.
Infact the company grew
so quickly that in 1960
Mr. Piva felt that it was
necessary to build a bigger
garage easy to reach, so
he bought some land near
Rimini, along side the
motorway SS16 and set up
his garages and offices
which now cover 2.000 square
meters.
In 1970 his great business
skills led to the opening
of another branch just
by the motorway exit in
the north of Rimini, in
order to offer a better
service to trucks coming
from all over Italy and
road assistance for cars
(ACI).
In 1985 the excellent
service and assistance
together with an increasing
number of customers, resulted
in the decision to start
selling the prestigious
Volvo Industrial Vehicles.
In 1990 the premises were
doubled resulting in 2.000
square meters of covered
surface area and 20.000
square meters of uncovered
surface area.
In 1996 as the Company
was growing steadily, Mr.
Piva adhered to the ISUZU
project in order to become
leader in the Italian market
too, by commercialising
Isuzu veichles and thus
covering the last sector
of the market which was
missing and that is, small
and medium size work vehicles
and four wheel drive jeeps.
This choice was dictated
by the need to satisfy
customer requirements to
the full, from cars to
heavy industrial vehicles.
Today
the company employs 90
people and our company
has always put “customer
satisfaction” first
so, in 1997 we were awarded
the ISO 9001 certificate
as a recognition of our
success.
Even
second – hand
truck sales which take
place on an area of 10.000
square meters, are carried
out in the same professional
way, which allows us to
compete with the best national
traders.
The area coverage is guaranteed
by five show-rooms, all
connected to the headquarters
in Rimini.
Our services are well
organized and guaranteed
by 14 authorized garages
well distributed in the
area who are giving efficent
and rapid assistance.
The high level of specializazion
of our mechanics is guaranteed
by regular up-dating from
Volvo/Isuzu and with the
use of the modern computer
system.
Our customers know that
we provide not only trucks
and services but we are
also professional and correct
in our business transactions.
In the last few decades
the world of industrial
vehicles has changed considerably
and today, AVI is an important
reference point because
we have been able to keep-up
with all great modern progress.
